As a General Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks, including front desk duties, managing office supplies, liaising between the branch and head office, and providing support to the team. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving abilities and strong organizational skills.
- Greet and assist walk-in clients at the front desk.
- Maintain and organize office systems to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Serve as the liaison between the branch and head office, ensuring effective communication.
- Manage office equipment and supplies, ensuring they are maintained and stocked.
- Handle general administrative duties, such as scheduling, filing, and document preparation.
- Answer phone calls and provide excellent telephone etiquette while directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Assist in organizing office meetings and events.
- Support management with ad-hoc administrative tasks and projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications |
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Proven experience in an administrative or front desk role.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to take direction and follow instructions effectively.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and conflict resolution skills.
- Previous experience working in a media or communications company is a plus.
- Familiarity with office management software and tools.
