A major private security company based in South Africa is seeking a Contract Manager for their Gauteng region. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive individual to manage key client contracts, engage in investigations, and maintain professional client relations. The ideal candidate will have a background in SAPS experience and a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations in the security industry.
As a Contract Manager, you will oversee daily operations and report directly to onsite client, ensuring a high level of service delivery and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for liaising with clients, contractors, SAPS, and overseeing investigations, crime scene management, and stolen asset resolution. Your knowledge of criminal and procedural law, as well as your strong communication skills, will be key to managing both internal and external security matters effectively.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Report directly to client and maintain a professional client relationship.
- Act as a primary point of contact for client liaison and handle client inquiries.
- Coordinate with SAPS/DPP and contractors regarding stolen assets.
- Manage exhibits and ensure correct handling and documentation.
- Conduct internal and external investigations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Liaise with contractors and SAPS on crime scene management and security measures.
- Ensure that investigations comply with the CMA Act 18 of 2015 and Criminal Procedures Act.
- Oversee crime scene management and ensure proper investigation procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications |
- Grade 12 Certificate (Essential).
- PSIRA Registered with a Grade A certificate.
- SAPS experience (Compulsory).
- Competent knowledge of CMA Act 18 of 2015 and Criminal Procedures Act.
- Experience in handling investigations related to essential infrastructures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in English and another South African language.
- Own reliable transport and accommodation.
- Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit record.
- Able to work long hours and under pressure.
- Computer literate (MS Office).
- Previous experience in security operations and contract management.
- Expertise in crime scene management and investigations.
- Familiarity with the essential infrastructure security protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
