A reputable security services company is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of their branches. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients, and implementing strategies for growth, risk management, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of security operations, and the ability to manage both people and finances effectively.
As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all branch operations, including staff management, financial performance, client relations, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will lead a team of security professionals while maintaining strong communication with clients to meet and exceed their expectations. The Branch Manager will also be responsible for ensuring the branch operates within budgetary constraints, adheres to legal and safety standards, and consistently delivers high-quality security services.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the branch, including overseeing staff (security officers, supervisors, etc.) and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Ensure compliance with PSIRA regulations, industry standards, and internal procedures.
- Conduct regular risk and threat assessments to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
- Develop and implement strategies for growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Manage the branch budget, including cost control, financial forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee labour relations within the branch, including managing disciplinary actions, grievances, and employee morale.
- Ensure adherence to BCEA, OHS Act, and relevant labour regulations.
- Maintain good relationships with clients, ensuring that services meet their expectations.
- Ensure the implementation and compliance with ISO procedures within the branch.
- Manage recruitment and training of branch personnel.
- Prepare and present regular reports on branch performance to senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications |
- Grade 12 Matric.
- PSIRA A certificate is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a management role within the security services industry.
- Solid understanding of BCEA, OHS Act, LRS, and National Bargaining Council regulations.
- Proven experience in managing labour relations, including handling disciplinary matters and grievances.
- Strong financial and budget management skills.
- Experience in risk and threat assessments.
- Knowledge of ISO procedures and the ability to implement them.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
- Experience in managing large teams and multiple projects.
- Previous experience in a security services management role is highly advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex situations effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
